Are you prepared for Legionella Management?

The new regulations from the NYS Department of Health, the new ASHRAE 188 and the existing NYS DEC regulations have changed the requirements for adding biocides to cooling towers.  We are offering the following:

Full 5 day, 30 hour Course:   In New York State, biocides are considered pesticides.  If you add biocide to a tower, change the pump setting or clean and disinfect a tower, you must be a 7G certified Pesticide Applicator.  This course is required for anyone wishing to take the NYS DEC exam to become a pesticide applicator.  This course includes the DEC Core manual and the 7G manual.  Cost  $799.00

One day Recertification Course:  Those who are New York State Certified Pesticide Applicators in category 7G need to obtain 5 hours of recertification credit every 3 years to renew their certification.  The courses on Wednesday and Thursday no longer qualify for credits.  We have set up a separate one day seminar to meet this requirement. Cost  $199.00

3.5 hour Overview of the New Legionella Requirements:  This begins with an understanding of legionnaire's disease.  Part of the 7G training covers biocide application, testing, record keeping, understanding biological fouling and cleaning and disinfecting.  I have combined the Department of Health requirements with the DEC requirements in this part of the session.  The program begins with a hot lunch at noon and ends at 4:30. Cost  $119.00
